Do you think you've messed up, that you've missed your spot with God, that you're relegated to second string - or worse, you've missed the team bus? God is an includer. We don't have to impress Him or clean ourselves up. We just orient our life in His direction through repentance and wonder.
WOW,,, this is so powerful Jeff, and hits home with me. Ive struggled with one particular person, a family member for years and its been a process of the Lord working on and piercing my heart with conviction about how Ive stayed away from this person, and avoided this person when I needed to be drawing near to this person and offering encouragement and support and the love of Christ. I am at the place now in my heart that I actually have love and forgiveness for this person, and have been reaching out with the love of Christ. I still have a LONG way to go in becoming more and more Christlike to this person and an includer like Christ. Lord help me!!!! I have also repented and asked for forgiveness from the Lord ,,,, many times.. Oh how we as the body of Christ need to reach out intentionally to those lost ones around us, who desperately need Jesus,, especially this Christmas season.. I love the story of the Shepherds, and how God chose lowly meek humble shepherds that first Christmas, to come and see the Savior and then go and tell others.... Lord, send me, right in my own family... Amen
