2024 has been a year of exciting changes for all of the Noble family.
Jeff was able to put his finishing touches on his new book about Peter. He also got the privilege to pray for the opening session of the Virginia House of Delegates. He traveled to Cyprus to scope out mission trip opportunities for Northstar. Jeff and Carolyn attended the Southern Baptist Convention in Indianapolis. This was their first trip to the annual SBC where they caught up with longtime friends and met new ones. Northstar continues to grow and thrive, and Jeff realizes daily what a blessing it is to lead this wonderful church.
Carolyn started the Masters of Clinical Counseling degree at Liberty University. Because of this new venture, she and her sister are selling Spoons Shaved Ice which has been a fun, money-making experience. This school year will also be her last year working at Blacksburg High School. Working in the Counseling office for 11 years has hopefully prepared her for her new upcoming role as a counselor. She was able to travel to New Mexico to see family and to D.C. and Charleston, SC with friends.
Both of the kids had big moves this year. Sam and Sidney moved to Lynchburg, VA, for Sam to be the area director for Young Life. Sam and Sidney love having all the Liberty University college students in their life to help them share the gospel of Jesus to the high school students in the area. Thankfully Sidney was able to keep her marketing job with ECFA and work from home. This allows her to be more available at home and YL. Shepherd turned one in October. It has been the best year with him. He has spent several nights at Captain and Nannie's house where they make every effort to spoil him rotten (yes, Jeff chose “Captain” as his grandpa name). Being grandparents is the best!
Adelyn and Braeden will be moving to the New River Valley this month. We are so amazed by God's goodness to have all our kids close by. Braeden was hired as Northstar's Young Adult Minister. He is perfectly gifted for this role. Adelyn was hired as the first Data Analysis/IT Resource Teacher which is a newly formed position for the school district. She will work at Christiansburg Middle School which is right down the road from their house they bought. Adelyn and Braeden will both start their new jobs on January 2.
We all realize the generosity of God and his provisions this season. So many prayers have been answered. Although there has been stress in the process, we stand amazed at the end of the year to celebrate God's faithfulness. This makes celebrating Christmas even more special this year. We pray that you have a Merry Christmas and that His blessings are abundant in your life.
“May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He smile on you and be gracious to you; may He look your way and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)
