I’ve experimented with Macs a few times and always gone back. My last two company issued PCs have been so disappointing, I’m thinking to try again next year. We’ll see…
I always felt like I had to use the computer the way Apple wanted me to, with very little flexibility. I had just as many problems as I had with the PC, but the internet was scarce on troubleshooting help. Most tech support advice was just, reinstall the OS. Some of my favorite software wasn’t available. I use a lot of free, open source tools and the only alternatives I could find on the Mac were expensive. Some of these things have changed, but the biggest reason I’m reconsidering is the hardware price gap isn’t as big as it once was. The hardware was always top notch
I grew up on PCs and only started using Apple computers for college since they had Macs for the photography/designs programs, and I haven't looked back. I currently own a 15" Macbook Pro from 2019, if I'm remembering correctly.
I know I’m going to feel old when I ask this, but what was your first Mac?
This was so fun to read! I will never forget my first Mac, or my first ipod!

What was the primary reason you went back to PC?
Also reminds me of Proverbs 26:11. 😏

That 2019 MBP is a jewel! A workhorse. Welcome to the club. 😉
