Trump’s indictment

A majority of Americans thought it a really bad idea to indict a former President for years-old, specious crimes. It smacks of politics.

Here’s what college students had to say about the indictment from a Wall Street Journal column:1

“…[Bragg] dug up an old case that was previously declined by federal prosecutors and decided to indict a declared candidate of the opposing political party on the eve of an election cycle. There is no semblance of plausible deniability here—this is a power play from a local politician to interfere with national politics.” ~ Rafael Arbex-Murut, University of California, Berkeley

A tsunami of bad news for the Bidens

Try as they might, the connections and corruption associated with the Biden family aren’t being censored anymore. Remember when over 50 officials from the intelligence community took out a full page ad, signed their names and claimed that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation before the 2020 election?2 Well, we found out this week that was all a lie, concocted and orchestrated by the Biden campaign.3 We also continue to see an unsavory $$-trail from China and Ukraine into the Biden family coffers as House Republicans initiate their investigation.4 Oh, and remember the Trump Mar-al-Lago raid because Trump had classified documents? Now we know that Biden had more at several different, unsecured locations, AND that Biden White House helped organize the raids5 (they claimed to learn about them through the MSM at the time).

Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball Team

Living in Blacksburg is exciting for collegiate sports. I’m primarily a football fan, but the Hokies have been a lot like the Razorbacks since we’ve lived here (as in… three games into the season, we’re saying, “Just wait til next year!”). This year, however, it was the Hokies Women’s Basketball Team that electrified the campus and community. They made it to the Final Four for the first time in program history, and they were a LOT of fun to watch.

Shoutout to Coach Dave Cianelli, Virginia Tech Track Coach

Coach Cianelli is a friend and an incredible leader. I deeply appreciate him. He was recently awarded the ACC Men’s & Women’s Coach of the Year award - again. He has guided the VT men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs to 21 ACC team titles during his tenure!

Spiritual movement continuing

It was back in February that God moved on the Asbury University campus. We are still hearing reports of His gracious blessing on other campuses and churches.6 Keep praying for your own renewal!

U.S. Catholic Bishops flex on the transgender movement

“The United States Catholic Bishops have issued guidelines banning surgical and chemical intervention aimed at exchanging ‘the sex characteristics of a patient’s body for those of the opposite sex.’ ..'.puberty blockers and sex reassignment surgery, insisting that the do not promote the authentic good of the human person but are, in fact, injurious.”7
